In its second consecutive year, this time with a new and improved name, the 2024 Next Gen Solutions Showcase - Assistive Tech Expo will be held on Wednesday 23rd October at the Manningham Function Centre in Doncaster!
About the event
Onemda’s Assistive Technology Expo is hosted by Onemda’s Research and Innovation Centre and is proudly supported by Manningham Council.
Onemda’s Assistive Technology Expo offers a platform for attendees to connect with a diverse range of suppliers and innovators. These experts showcase various assistive technologies, including communication devices, fidget toys, inclusive fashion, therapy apps, home independence tools, accessibility features for phones and tablets, VR innovations, and independent living aids.
The Expo serves as a vital resource for individuals with disability, their families, and carers to explore the latest advancements in technology designed to support people’s independence, improve their quality of life and enable their full participation.
Interested in showcasing your assistive tech equipment?
We are seeking a range of suppliers to showcase assistive technology equipment including:
- A range of different communication devices, to support people with communication disabilities such as speech generating devices, symbol-making software, communication boards
- Fidget toys and other items for people with autism
- Inclusive fashion clothing for people with disabilities
- Apps to encourage and motivate people to undertake therapy programs and exercise
- Technology for the home to help people with disability be more independent
- Technology to make mobile phones and tablets easier to use
- VR and other tech innovations for people with disabilities, and
- A range of independent living skills aids that help people with disabilities do more for themselves.
Through the 2024 Onemda’s Assistive Technology Expo, Onemda continues to build on its mission by providing a space for learning and exploration, helping individuals with disability discover tools that can positively impact their daily lives, and ensuring that people with disability receive expert advice on the most suitable technologies for their needs.
