Media
Onemda is committed to working with the media to raise awareness, build profile and establish a platform from which to advocate for stronger investment in the future for people with disability.
Through proactive and responsive media engagement, we raise issues of importance, contribute expertise and insight to important discussions in the public sphere, champion the interests of the disability community and the disability services sector.
Working with media also give us the opportunity to highlight the value of collaboration with our community; with our research, funding and employment partners; and with our sector colleagues and representative bodies.
Political will, government funding, community awareness and improved understanding are all critical to building a better future. We contribute to this by amplifying key messages including:
- Funding the Future: Highlighting the importance of a strong, well-funded NDIS and the role of government grants and private funding partnerships.
- Return on Investment: Providing evidence to demonstrate that funding disability services is an investment with a demonstrated ROI – on a personal, community & economic level.
- Research & Innovation: Show through our projects and partnerships that R&I is vital to ensure best practice and continued delivery of benefits and value.
