Onemda announces the launch of Quality of Life project
Post Created: 15 January 2025
Onemda are thrilled to announce the launch of Onemda’s 3-year Quality of Life (QoL) project. This initiative aims to discover what matters most to our participants and explore how Onemda’s services impact their lives.
To lead this exciting work, we’ve assembled a dedicated QoL team of Onemda staff who have undergone specialised training with the University of Ghent Belgium in the use of a proven QoL assessment tool.
Over the next three years, we plan to involve 80-100 participants. Each participant will meet with a QoL team member twice to discuss their quality of life and share what’s most important to them. For those needing extra support, we’ll invite two key people from their network, like a family member and support worker, to join the conversation, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.
To recruit participants, the QoL team will visit Onemda campuses to explain the project, answer questions, and encourage involvement. We’ll also connect with families and carers of interested participants to address their questions and invite them to participate if additional support is needed.
This project is an incredible opportunity to learn what is important to the people we support and enhance our services. We’re excited to begin this journey and will share updates along the way!
